I am a Chicago-based nonprofit consultant.  I hold a Ph.D. from Emory University in Sociology.  My professional and academic work centers on nonprofit/non-governmental organizations.  Professionally I focus on survey research, program evaluation, design, and improvement in the U.S. nonprofit sector.  Academically I focus on how internationally oriented nongovernmental organizations (international NGO’s, or INGO’s) and the institutions of religion and human rights intersect in the context of globalization.

I am an adjunct professor at Purdue University – Calumet, in Hammond, Indiana, where I teach program design and evaluation for the Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) Master’s Program, and an introduction to sociology course.

Current projects include analysis of outcomes and patient satisfaction data and performance improvement facilitation for a major hospital in the Chicago area and evaluation data analysis for a national project with the American Diabetes Association (in conjunction with Strategy Group).

Past projects include designing and implementing the YMCA’s national evaluation plan for its Healthier Communities Initiatives, funded by CDC and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, developing online surveys and analyzing survey data for the American Academy of Religion, and data analysis for the American Red Cross of the Bay Area.

The services I offer include survey development, program evaluation, descriptive and statistical data analysis, basic research, online survey deployment, assessment, and outcomes evaluation.
